Yves and his Progress with Chinese using Comprehensible Input Method...

Follow live Yves and his progress in Chinese with C.C.I. method... we upload recordings of his classes every Thursday

But before taking a look at Yves and what a real progress looks like, let's look at what kinda abilities do traditional methods or memorisations bring, and how they lead in many cases to the loss of motivation due to lack of the results. Notice how when his classmates move to China or consume Chinese content (both basically mean: having access to what is in linguistics called "Comprehensible Input"). How it suddenly and "magically" changes the situation, brings results, and those probably bring more motivation :)

Click here to spot which activities lead to wasting even years when "learning" a new language.

If memorisations lead mostly to forgetting or can work only in tandem with getting large quantities of C.I., but the C.I. on the other hand works even on its own, as clearly you learned your native language without any memorisations. As all the millions of 5-year olds around the world, that speak their native language already, based primarily on getting the C.I. without getting any grammar instructions or using memorisations...

Then doesn't it beg the question:

Why not just go straight to the C.I.?

Why Adults Struggle With Languages?

Because they are not aware of how kids really acquire languages and they skip the most important step.
